News and Info.
Sometime during 1980 I decided to draw African
wildlife only.....presented in portraiture format.
Everybody deserves a portrait - right ?!
Now, so many years later and having retired from a
successful career in veterinary nursing, I am really
enjoying my 2nd career in art and able to just draw!
Why draw African wildlife?
Growing up in South Africa, I developed a lasting
interest for its animals and drawing them allows me to
try to replicate the detail of endlessly different textures
with graphite, charcoal and carbon pencils.
I have had 5 exhibitions: in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011
and 2020, when I even managed to get my own
website up and running !!
All my work is framed with pale grey mat board,
non-reflective art glass and matte black metal frames:
1 cm wide and 2 cm deep.
My next exhibition 'The watchful eye' will be held at
Galleri Greger, Hornsgatan 46, Stockholm, Sweden
from Saturday 29th February to Thursday 5th March
I was hoping to show my new works at a juried exhibition in April,
but due to the Corona restrictions it has been postponed to March
of next year.
The date has now been confirmed!
