News and Info.

Hello and thank you for visiting my website.

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember
and by 1980 it was evolving into African wildlife portraiture.
Everybody deserves a portrait - right ?!

Now, so many years later and having retired from a
successful career in veterinary nursing, I am really
enjoying my 2nd career in just art.

Why draw African wildlife?
Growing up in South Africa, I developed a lasting
interest for the country's animals. Drawing them allows
me to try to replicate the detail of endlessly different
textures with graphite, charcoal and carbon pencils.

I have had 5 exhibitions: in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011
and 2020, when I even managed to get my own
website up and running !!

All my work is framed with pale grey mat board,
non-reflective art glass and matte black metal frames:
1 cm wide and 2 cm deep.

February 2020:
